The following is a Cherokee Prayer published in "How to Pray Without Being Religious" by Janell Moon
"Look, I see the Sun. He is my father. He is my beginning.
Look, I see the Moon. She is my Grandmother, My guardian keeper.
Look, I see the Stars. They are my friends, my relatives.
Look, I see the Universe. I see myself."
Blessed Be!

What a great prayer! I’ve heard lots of Native American prayers over the years, but not this one. It is so simple, and so true. Look, I see the Universe. I see myself. Thank you for sharing it, Claudia.
I love this, Claudia. Easy to remember and pray everyday! Hugs!
Thanks for this. The day I got to be your friend here was why I joined this group and I was right… You’re simply the best.
Namaste,
Kathy
I am honored to be called your friend, Kathy. You have taught me much more then you might think!

Centria, Mila, thank you for your kind words - I fell in love with this prayer the moment I saw it! Hugs to you, dear ones!
Beautiful! Thank you, my sister.
I added your poem to the Prayers thread on We are One. It seemed to fit perfectly.
Having Native American Blood running through my ancestry and in me I appreciate how grounding and natural this is.
With Gratitude!

Zennie, thank you for your comment! Hugs!
In all our hearts, there is a prayer like the Cherokee Prayer, and it sits right in the middle of our understanding.
We wish you well.
Thank you so much, and happy Holidays to you and all of your loved ones!
