Human Right # 12: The Right to Privacy

Surely we all want privacy, but how far do we extend it?
Should you give your spouse the right to absolute privacy? Are you trusting, or do you go through his/her notes, letters and emails?
Are you thinking that it is okay to spy on your kids, and read their journal? Do you think that this is a form of protection, and therefore your right?
Extending privacy toward a person you are close to, requires trust. How much of that are you ready to extend?
Peace

Privacy does require a TON of trust. I know from the past that I felt the need to spy in order to protect myself from getting my feelings hurt. I turned out to be right, but now I only surround myself with trustworthy people! :)
Having been not trusted as a child, I have had my share of not trusting others. For me, it was more changing my thinking and realizing that it was me that needed to work on giving others space and privacy, that became my breakthrough.
Thank you for your comment Anne!
