Mother Earth,
precious planet, home to each one of us.
Let us become concious caretakers of you,
in all your abundance and beauty.
Let us regognize the connection between all living things
and celebrate the great diversity of life forms
that exist here on our wonderous planet
Let us honor all life, by caring for each other
and ourselves, mind, body, spirit,
in every way that we possibly can
to promote harmony and wellbeing for all
So mote it be

Help

that's so beautiful! i've always wondered what does the “so mote it be” mean? hugs
thanks Nicole! So mote it be” means “so it is “- similar to Amen - a statement of re-affirming the intent of the prayer, blessing or spell, and announcing that the content of it, is the will of witch. Hope that helped.
Hugs!
thanks, it led me to a little more exploring too, where i found it was based on an older version of so must it be and was used in freemasonry first. learn something every day! hugs!
I was suprised to find out how many symbols and rituals are used in both Wicca and Freemasonry. Until I read more by a Wiccan writer called Silver Ravenwolf, who's father was a freemason, I had no insight in that - not counting what you see on television sold as history, it is usually sensationalism more then collection of facts. Same goes for Wicca, or Pagan beliefs. While I do not focus so much on the ritualistic side of Wicca - and therefore the connection to freemasonary, I can see it's meaning much clearer now, then before I began to study Witchcraft. Mixture of traditions abound in my faith, but all paths are true paths in any case - Christianity, Islam, Hinduism - it is all an expression of the All-There-Is.
Hugs
I love that, dearest, all an expression of All-There-Is - Hugs!
Love the prayer and also your affirmayion of all paths, a lovely way to look at it.
Blessings to both of you kind souls!
Lovely prayer…
