This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for October 08, 2009:
Soothing and calming sounds to me are the sounds of nature - music, vocals and compositions made by people are what I seek out for different emotional respondses, such as inspiration, motivation or lifting up.
One person I can count on for that is Josh Groban. I think his voice is just breathtaking.
But currently, the emotional responds I am seeking is more that of moving forward, overcomming hurdles and answering questions. Therefore one of my favorite songs on my playlist is currently "Let Me Be Myself" by 3 Doors Down. (Yes the one from the Geico comercial).

I agree, the wind in the trees, a babbling brook, the surf rolling in and out, birdsong, owls call, all very calming, the other day I heard taewny owl, with the birds early dawn chorus !
Thanks sweety - love your describtion! I love waking up to birds chirping, and the squirrels behind the house complaining about the cats in the yard. It is suprising, that when you focus upon what is perceived silence, the voices of nature become louder, stronger, more important.
Hugs to you!
Loving the musical words in your posts here!
