This touched me deeply too, it's horriffic - how could this have been done in the name of God who is love?
I was wondering the same thing - this is not the teaching of the Jesus I was brought up with, when I was a Christian. Fundementalism together with greed, power and well-used fear can create horror and terror beyond belief.
It still does.
This is a myth that those ignorant of True Christianity like to pass around. But a true seeker of the Truth will do the research and see for themselves;)
