No Room Left for Treasure

Posted on Sep 13th, 2009 by Phoenix : Reborn and Complete Phoenix
Today, I am borrowing a part of Verse 69 from The Tao:

"There is no greater misfortune
then the feeling "I have an enemy"
for when "I" and "enemy" exist together
there is no room left for my treasure."

This is one reason why in some Wiccan tradition one is adviced not to perform magick when angry or hurtful thoughts are dominating your present. How can one effect the surroundings to benefit all when "I" and "enemy" exist within you?
Change the word enemy into the word anger, fear, and doubt, and again you have the same equation.
Doubt and I can not exist in the same space when trying to create positive change.
Fear has to be dropped to make space for the treasure, may this treasure you are seeking be your connection to your personal Higher Power, may it be the creation of success, or to heal and love another who requested your assistance.
This does not mean that fear and doubt have no place in protecting us from harm, but if you want to connect to Source to the betterment of all, these "enemies" need to be removed - even if only temporarily - from your center, before approaching it to create any meaningful, beneficial change.

Blessed Be!

Anger says:
“I can destroy
The whole world.”
Peace says:
“Not when I work
Inside you.”
